Jolly Roger Crystal Greyhound & Lurcher Collar

Size Guide
How to measure your sighthound for a luxury leather dog collar

Whether you have a tiny Italian Greyhound, a Whippet, Greyhound, lurcher or any of the numerous breeds of sighthound, there's one thing you are probably painfully familiar with.

They are amazing collar escape artists.
Due to the shape of their necks they can easily back out of a poorly fitted collar, so a tailor made collar from Petiquette Collars will help eliminate this stressful part of walking these beautiful dogs.

How to measure your sighthound's neck

Rather than measuring the middle of the neck as you would with most dog breeds, it's essential to measure the narrowest part of the neck on a sighthound.
Follow our guide and check the photo for where you should measure your dog for a luxury leather dog collar.

Step 1

With your dog standing comfortably, wrap a soft tape measure, or piece of string if you don't have a tape measure, around the part of the neck at line B on the photograph.
The tape measure should be touching the fur but not constricting the neck.  Please don't add any fingers underneath the tape measure, as this can lead to incorrect sizing.

Step 2

Make a note of this measurement and take a look at the sizes available for our collars.  Choose the collar size which at it's smallest measurement is as close to the neck measurement you have just taken.
For example, if your dog's neck at line B measures approximately 11", then you would select an 11"-13" collar size.

The must-have accessory for sighthounds with a rebellious side. The Jolly Roger is a handmade greyhound and lurcher collar featuring skull and crossbones studs alongside dazzling Swarovski crystals.

It’s the perfect choice for dogs (and owners) who like to turn heads whilst out on walkies.

Even better, it will be handmade in your choice of colours. First, take your pick from our huge range contemporary leather shades. Then have some fun picking out the colours for the large and small Swarovski crystals.

Each stud and crystal will be individually hand-riveted into place, so you won’t have to worry about losing any of them.

Your new collar is made from soft, glossy Italian leather and for durability, has a robust leather inner core. To protect your dog’s slender neck, the collar measures 2” at its widest point and tapers to a 1” buckle and strap.

For comfort, the collar is fully lined with the same butter-soft calf leather to cover any rough edges. There won’t be any of the rubbing or fur loss often associated with harder leather collars.

To finish the look...

How about a matching leather dog lead? For the full pirate bling look, we can decorate the lead with the same pattern of crystals plus skull and crossbones studs at the base of the lead. Or if you prefer a more low-key look, we can make a plain leather lead.

Our handmade leather dog leads are around 1 metre long and are available in a range of widths.

Leads are approx 1 metre long. Crystal leads will have the same colour crystals at the base of the lead

Excellent quality

My greyhounds Swarovski jolly roger collar is gorgeous, really sparkles in the sun. We've recently adopted him and wanted him to have the same lovely quality collar as my italian greyhound and whippet and it was well worth the money, they all look very posh on a walk now with their bling!
