The Chaos Theory luxury dog collar is as gorgeous as your dog. Yes, they’re genuine Swarovski crystals – and even better, you can choose your own leather and crystal colour combination. Each one is unique.
It’s our most popular dog collar design. Paul O’Grady’s dog Olga has her own Chaos Theory collar – but the chances of Olga’s collar looking identical to yours are about the same as winning the Lottery.
The collar is handmade from soft, supple Italian leather and each crystal is beveled into the leather by hand so they won’t fall out. It feels comfortable on your dog’s neck from day one, and keeps getting softer as time passes.
Choose your shade of leather, then pick your favourites from a sparkling rainbow of Swarovski crystal colours. For smaller collars, we’d recommend 2-3 crystal colours of each size – but with larger collars, choose as many as you like. If you get stuck, feel free to contact us for some ideas.
Even on dull rainy days this collar looks spectacular. When it’s sunny, you’ll need sunglasses.
Why stop there?
Treat yourself to a matching crystallised dog lead and you’ll be the envy of every dog walker you meet. We can make these 1 metre leads in plain leather, or with a matching crystal embellishment at the base near the clip.
How to measure your dog's neck for a leather dog collar
Every leather dog collar that we make is tailor made to fit your dog’s neck like a glove, with enough room to tighten or loosen to allow for differences due to grooming. No more annoying flaps of leather that look unsightly and more often than not get chewed on.
It really couldn't be easier to measure your dog’s neck for a handmade leather dog collar from Petiquette Collars. All you will need is a soft tape measure or a piece of string, a pen and paper, and perhaps most importantly, your dog.
The MOST important thing to take into account when measuring though is DO NOT MEASURE THE TOTAL LENGTH OF AN EXISTING COLLAR. This will lead to an incorrect sized collar.
Petiquette Collars generally cover a 2" - 3" neck size range. So for example, a 10" - 12" collar. The first hole would be 10" from the buckle, and the last hole would be 12" from the buckle. Please see the image below for a visual representation.
We are always happy to help when it comes to choosing the size for your dog collar to ensure the perfect fit for your canine friend. If you are in any doubt, please contact us.
Measuring your dog for a classic collar
Have your dog stand comfortably, hopefully they won’t wriggle too much, but if they do, then bribery with some tasty treats can help. Wrap the tape measure or piece of string around the middle of your dog’s neck so that it is touching the fur but is not tight around the neck.
Make a note of this reading and then take a look at the sizes we offer for each of our bespoke collars.
We would recommend that you choose the collar size where the smallest hole would be as close to the neck measurement as possible.
If your dog has a neck size of roughly 13.5”, then you should choose a 13” - 15” collar size. This will give enough room to tighten it should they lose a little weight, and it gives enough room to slacken it if needed.
Measuring a sighthound for a collar
If you have a sighthound such as an Italian Greyhound, Whippet, lurcher or Greyhound for example, rather than measuring around the middle of the neck, wrap the tape measure so that it is fairly snug, just behind the ears and under the chin at the top of the neck.
As with our classic collars would recommend that you choose the collar size where the smallest hole is as close to the neck measurement as possible.
If you are measuring for a house collar, we would advise that you measure further down the neck, so that the collar will hang fairly loosely.

I have bought quite a number of Petiquette crystal dog collars. They are very well made and I have yet to loose a crystal! The icing on the cake is that they are customizable allowing the purchaser to have a hand in creating a collar that appeals to them and incorporate their favorite colors.
