A nautical themed leather whippet collar, perfect for salty sea dogs (and salty sea dog owners).
The collar is adorned with leather anchors, each hand-stitched at an appropriately jaunty angle onto soft, supple Italian leather.
Choose your favourite leather colour for the main part of the collar, then pick a contrasting colour for the anchor and the lining. If you’d like some extra sparkle, we can add a Swarovski crystal accent to the anchor. Just use the dropdown to let us know your preference.
All Petiquette leather whippet collars are made by hand in our Northumberland workshop. They are fully lined using soft calf leather for a comfy feel against your dog’s neck, with smooth rounded edges to prevent any danger of rubbing or hair loss.
The collar is 1¾” wide, tapering to a ¾” buckle and strap. This fishtail shape offers exactly the right amount of protection for your dog’s slender neck, without being too large or heavy.
To complete the look...
How about a leather dog lead? Like the collar, your new lead will be made from soft but durable Italian leather so it will feel soft and comfy as you take your dog for walks.
The lead will be around 1 metre long. For whippets, we usually recommend a width of either 5/8” or 3/4“.
We have sourced the finest Italian leather to make our luxury sighthound collars. Whether you prefer a traditional black collar or a vibrant jaffa orange leather collar, there is sure to be a colour that will match your dog's coat.
For a closer look at our colours, check out the colour options page.
We only use 100% genuine Swarovski crystals for our luxury sighthound collars, so you can be sure of the quality.
Choose a single colour or mix and match several to create a bespoke collar as individual as your dog.
Step 1
If you have a sighthound such as an Italian Greyhound, Whippet, lurcher or Greyhound for example, rather than measuring around the middle of the neck, wrap the tape measure so that it is fairly snug, just behind the ears and under the chin at the top of the neck.
Step 2
Make a note of this reading and then take a look at the sizes we offer for each of our bespoke collars.
We would recommend that you choose the collar size where the smallest hole would be as close to the neck measurement as possible.
For example
If your dog has a neck size of roughly 13.5”, then you should choose a 13” - 15” collar size. This will give enough room to tighten it should they lose a little weight, and it gives enough room to slacken it if needed.
