Ideal for the larger sighthounds, the Colour Contrast handmade leather Greyhound and lurcher collar can be made to your order in any combination of our nappa leather.
Petiquette leather Greyhound collars are two inches wide at the widest part and taper to a one inch buckle and strap, offering all of the support needed for your elegant hound.
Here at Petiquette we believe that collars should not only look good, but should also be made to last. Our collars are made using soft nappa leather with an inner core of strong leather making them tough, durable and stylish.
Choose two shades of leather, one for the main part of the leather greyhound collar and one for the lining. We'll use a complimenting thread to stitch the collar to complete the look. The leather lining will provide a luxurious fit for your Greyhound, Saluki, Afghan Hound, lurcher or any breed in between and will reduce the possibility of any rubbing which can often be found from leather collars.
We also offer handmade leather leads which will compliment your leather lurcher collar. The lead will be made using the same two shades of leather you've selected from the colour swatches above and will measure approximately one metre. We'd recommend either a 3/4 or one inch wide lead for Greyhounds and lurchers, although if your dog doesn't pull, then any width would work just as well.
Petiquette Collars are tailor made to order, so measuring your dog's neck or existing collar is essential. We measure our collars from the centre of the buckle to the first and last hole as in the image below. There is half an inch between each hole.
If measuring your dog's neck, take a soft tape measure and measure the circumference of the neck from below the chin to behind the ears so that the tape measure is touching the fur but is not tight. If the measurement is 13", then the smallest sized hole on the collar would be 13" from the centre of the buckle on your Petiquette collar.
