Crystal Celt Whippet Collar

Size Guide
How to measure your sighthound for a luxury leather dog collar

Whether you have a tiny Italian Greyhound, a Whippet, Greyhound, lurcher or any of the numerous breeds of sighthound, there's one thing you are probably painfully familiar with.

They are amazing collar escape artists.
Due to the shape of their necks they can easily back out of a poorly fitted collar, so a tailor made collar from Petiquette Collars will help eliminate this stressful part of walking these beautiful dogs.

How to measure your sighthound's neck

Rather than measuring the middle of the neck as you would with most dog breeds, it's essential to measure the narrowest part of the neck on a sighthound.
Follow our guide and check the photo for where you should measure your dog for a luxury leather dog collar.

Step 1

With your dog standing comfortably, wrap a soft tape measure, or piece of string if you don't have a tape measure, around the part of the neck at line B on the photograph.
The tape measure should be touching the fur but not constricting the neck.  Please don't add any fingers underneath the tape measure, as this can lead to incorrect sizing.

Step 2

Make a note of this measurement and take a look at the sizes available for our collars.  Choose the collar size which at it's smallest measurement is as close to the neck measurement you have just taken.
For example, if your dog's neck at line B measures approximately 11", then you would select an 11"-13" collar size.

Many Celtic myths feature sighthounds, or Celtic hounds. According to the legends, they were animal guardians, protecting and guiding lost souls in the Otherworld.

Back in the real world, your little dog will look fabulous in this Celtic dog collar. It features a Celtic cross at its centre, with a dash of sparkle provided by Swarovski crystal accents on either side of the cross.

The Crystal Celt will be handmade from soft, glossy Italian leather and fully lined with the same soft calf leather. Smooth rounded edges will prevent chaffing so you won’t have to worry about the discomfort or hair loss associated with harder leather collars.

What’s more, you can customise this collar to suit your dog’s handsome coat. Choose your favourite combination of leather and crystal colours to make this Celtic dog collar entirely your own.

It's important to protect your sighthound’s slender neck, so we’ve designed the collar in a supportive fishtail shape. It measures 1¾”, tapering to a ¾” buckle and strap, with a handy D-ring for easy lead attachment.

Why stop there?

A handmade leather dog lead will complete the look perfectly. It will match your new dog collar, made from the same soft Italian leather.

Our leather dog leads measure approximately 1 metre in length. They are available in a range of widths, although for whippets we recommend either 5/8” or 3/4“.

Leads are approx 1 metre long. Crystal leads will have the same colour crystals at the base of the lead

Customizations Total: £0.00

Suits my whippet perfectly

Bought this collar for one of my 2 whippet brothers. They are almost 7 months old and I previously bought the puppy collars from this seller and was impressed with the quality of the collars. The design is wonderful and on their first day out with their new collars (see the Davy Jones collar I also bought) so many people have said how stunning they are. Perfect collar for a great price.
