Damask print exudes a certain sense of luxury, and that's what we aim to capture with the Damask Window luxury whippet collar.
Made using our sumptuous Italian calf leather in a rainbow of vibrant colours, the leather collar for whippets has either one or two windows, behind which is a stunning damask print on a contrasting shade of leather.
You can choose any of our colours of leather for both the main collar colour and the windows, but we'd recommend something light and bright for the windows to really show off the damask.
Our whippet collars are completely made by hand here in our Northumberland based workshop, and are 1 3/4" at the widest point, tapering to a 3/4" buckle and d ring, offering the perfect amount of support for your whippet.
How about a new leather lead?
To really finish the luxury look, why not add a handmade leather lead to your order. It will be made from the same soft Italian leather in the same colour as your new collar.
Our leather dog leads are around 1 metre in length, with a handy D-ring in the handle so you can clip the lead round your shoulder or waist while your dog is off the lead. They are available in a range of widths, although for whippets we recommend either 5/8 or 3/4“.
Choose from any of our Italian calf leathers to have your luxury leather sighthound collar made in. Whether you choose a traditional black or brown leather dog collar, or a bright lime green collar, we're sure you'll love the finished custom dog collar.
Measuring a sighthound for a collar
Step 1
If you have a sighthound such as an Italian Greyhound, Whippet, lurcher or Greyhound for example, rather than measuring around the middle of the neck, wrap the tape measure so that it is fairly snug, just behind the ears and under the chin at the top of the neck.
Step 2
Make a note of this reading and then take a look at the sizes we offer for each of our bespoke collars.
We would recommend that you choose the collar size where the smallest hole would be as close to the neck measurement as possible.
For example
If your dog has a neck size of roughly 13.5”, then you should choose a 13” - 15” collar size. This will give enough room to tighten it should they lose a little weight, and it gives enough room to slacken it if needed.
