Hepburn Italian Greyhound Collar with Pearls

Size Guide
How to measure your sighthound for a luxury leather dog collar

Whether you have a tiny Italian Greyhound, a Whippet, Greyhound, lurcher or any of the numerous breeds of sighthound, there's one thing you are probably painfully familiar with.

They are amazing collar escape artists.
Due to the shape of their necks they can easily back out of a poorly fitted collar, so a tailor made collar from Petiquette Collars will help eliminate this stressful part of walking these beautiful dogs.

How to measure your sighthound's neck

Rather than measuring the middle of the neck as you would with most dog breeds, it's essential to measure the narrowest part of the neck on a sighthound.
Follow our guide and check the photo for where you should measure your dog for a luxury leather dog collar.

Step 1

With your dog standing comfortably, wrap a soft tape measure, or piece of string if you don't have a tape measure, around the part of the neck at line B on the photograph.
The tape measure should be touching the fur but not constricting the neck.  Please don't add any fingers underneath the tape measure, as this can lead to incorrect sizing.

Step 2

Make a note of this measurement and take a look at the sizes available for our collars.  Choose the collar size which at it's smallest measurement is as close to the neck measurement you have just taken.
For example, if your dog's neck at line B measures approximately 11", then you would select an 11"-13" collar size.

Dress your little Iggy in pearls, just like Audrey Hepburn.

This Italian greyhound collar with pearls can be made in any leather colour you fancy. Just choose your favourite from our huge range of contemporary shades and we’ll make it by hand to your specifications.

It is made from luxuriously soft Italian leather, with 3 rows of curved Swarovski faux pearls sewn securely into the collar by hand using high tensile nylon filament. You won’t have to worry about losing any of them.

Our Italian greyhound collars are designed for comfort as well as beauty. Each collar is lined with the same gorgeously soft nappa leather, with softly rolled edges to prevent rubbing or skin irritation.

To protect your little dog’s delicate neck, the collar is 1½” at its widest point, tapering to a ½” lightweight buckle and strap. It provides exactly the right amount of support, without becoming bulky and uncomfortable for your IG.

How about a matching lead?

To complete the look, we can make a leather lead in the same colour. If you like, we can sew some Swarovski pearls into the base of the lead near the clip – or you can opt for a plain leather lead. It's up to you.

Our leads measure around 1 metre in length. For petite IGs we recommend a ½” width to prevent the clasp becoming too heavy for them.

Need help choosing your colours?

We have over two dozen shades of soft Italian leather that your luxury leather dog collar can be made with, and over a dozen colours of genuine Swarovski crystals.

If you need any help deciding which colours work well together, then feel free to get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
