Proud As Punch Crystal Italian Greyhound Collar

Size Guide
How to measure your sighthound for a luxury leather dog collar

Whether you have a tiny Italian Greyhound, a Whippet, Greyhound, lurcher or any of the numerous breeds of sighthound, there's one thing you are probably painfully familiar with.

They are amazing collar escape artists.
Due to the shape of their necks they can easily back out of a poorly fitted collar, so a tailor made collar from Petiquette Collars will help eliminate this stressful part of walking these beautiful dogs.

How to measure your sighthound's neck

Rather than measuring the middle of the neck as you would with most dog breeds, it's essential to measure the narrowest part of the neck on a sighthound.
Follow our guide and check the photo for where you should measure your dog for a luxury leather dog collar.

Step 1

With your dog standing comfortably, wrap a soft tape measure, or piece of string if you don't have a tape measure, around the part of the neck at line B on the photograph.
The tape measure should be touching the fur but not constricting the neck.  Please don't add any fingers underneath the tape measure, as this can lead to incorrect sizing.

Step 2

Make a note of this measurement and take a look at the sizes available for our collars.  Choose the collar size which at it's smallest measurement is as close to the neck measurement you have just taken.
For example, if your dog's neck at line B measures approximately 11", then you would select an 11"-13" collar size.

Have you ever wanted to design your own crystal Italian greyhound collar? Now is your chance.

The Proud as Punch collar can be made in any leather and crystal combination that takes your fancy. Just pick out your favourite leather colour, then let us know which colour crystals you’d like. We’ll make it entirely to your specification.

This Italian greyhound collar will be made by hand from premium quality leather. The same soft leather will be used to line the collar, ensuring a luxuriously comfy feel against your IG’s neck.

Each crystal will be securely riveted into place by hand, so you won’t have to worry about losing any of them.

The collar measures 1½” at its widest point, tapering to a ½” strap and buckle. It's the perfect size to support for your dog’s delicate neck, without being bulky or uncomfortable.

How about a matching lead?

With such a gorgeous collar, you won’t want your old lead spoiling the effect. We can make a new leather lead for you with the same sparkling crystals at the base of the lead. Or you could opt for unadorned plain leather.

Our leather leads are around 1 metre long. For IGs, we usually recommend a ½” width as anything wider may mean the clasp becomes too heavy for their small necks.

Leads are approx 1 metre long. Crystal leads will have the same colour crystals at the base of the lead

Customizations Total: £0.00
